We make it simple to build safety systems. Developing innovative products and solutions for machine safety has been our business idea since the company was founded in Sweden in 1988. Our vision is to become “the best partner for machine safety”.
Many industries around the world, have discovered how much easier it has become to build protection and safety systems with our components and guidance.
Experience
We have great experience of the practical application of safety requirements and standards from both authorities and production. We represent Sweden in standardisation organisations for machine safety and we work daily with the practical application of safety requirements in combination with production requirements.
Systems
We deliver everything from a safety solution to complete safety systems for single machines or entire production lines. We combine production demands with safety demands for production-friendly solutions.
Products
We market a complete range of safety products, which makes it easy to build safety systems. We develop these innovative products continuously. Our extensive program of products, safety solutions and our long experience in machine safety makes us a safe partner.

Pluto safety PLC
Pluto is an "All-Master" safety PLC concept, which simplifies the design of safety systems and achieves the highest safety category 4 according to EN 954-1. All Pluto's are Master units and can see the other Pluto's inputs, outputs and global memories. This enables the Pluto to evaluate the information from the other Pluto's and it can then take decisions concerning its own safety. Gateway units are available for several different bus systems, i.e. Profibus, CanOpen and DeviceNet. Of Pluto´s inputs (the smallest unit has 16 I/O), several inputs can be configured as both inputs and outputs. In the Pluto family most modules have dual safety outputs - potential free or PNP. In a two-wire bus system up to 32 Pluto units can safely be connected and communicate with a superior system via a Gateway or via HMI displays. In a maximum extended system 1472 I/O's can be connected. On all inputs components may be connected in series for even more complexity and optimization. |

Vital safety system
Connect several safety components in series and monitor these with only one safety module!
Vital is the heart of a concept which enables one to easily install several different safety components in the same safety circuit and still achieve safety category 4 according to EN 954-1. Vital is a small, 22,5 mm in width, electronic safety module which dynamically monitors several safety components. It has optional automatic or manual supervised reset, dual safety outputs and info output for reset indication and information to a PLC. Vital´s detachable connector blocks simplify trouble-shooting and the replacement of the module. |

Tina adaptor units
connect several different safety components to the Vital/Pluto safety circuit!
Tina units adapt the Vital and Pluto dynamic safety circuit signals to safety components with mechanical contacts, such as E-stops, switches and light beams/curtains with dual outputs. This enables safety category 4 according to EN 954-1 for the connected safety components together with the Vital/Pluto control unit. N.B. The Jokab Safety dynamic safety components, i.e. Eden and Spot can directly be connected to the Vital/Pluto circuit without an intermediate Tina unit. |

Safety relays
RT series – This series consists of universal relays which have most of the functions which are used in machine safety.
JSB series – In this series there are relays for two-hand devices, simultaneous requirement of 0,5 s- 1,5s and a small single channel relay with a power supply requirement of only 12 VDC.
Safety timers – The relays in this group are used for time reset, bypassing and inching.
Expansion relays – The relays in this group are used to expand safety relays. The stop signal can be delayed. There are also outputs for function indication. |

Light beams/light curtains/scanner
Light beams and light curtains are a production friendly safety component that do not physically impact on the actions of the machine operator. Light barrier protection is also a good safety component for use when goods are to be passed in and out of a risk area. |

Stopping time/machine diagnosis
Smart is perfect for periodic monitoring of safety parameters and other conditions for the maintenance and trouble-shooting
of machines. Because Smart can compare old and new graphs, it becomes easy to find out the reasons for machine malfunctions. One can also supervise machines during operation and compare how they perform over time. |

Sensors/switches
why should you use sensors/switches?
- To supervise doors & hatches around dangerous machines!
- To ensure that a position is reached!
- To manage the safety in harsh environments!
Our recommendation is to use the Eden sensor because it is the safest and most reliable solution. The Eden sensor is a non-contact switch and has a dynamic function. Also it is possible to connect up to 30 Eden sensors in series and still achieve safety category 4. |

E-Stops
E-stops in series with Tina
Our E-stops have built-in Tina 2A or Tina3A units making it easy to connect several E-stops to a safety circuit according to safety category 4, EN 954-1. The safety circuit, which is dynamic, is monitored by either safety PLC Pluto or by safety module Vital. Vital can monitor up to 30 E-stops. Pluto can monitor up to 100 E-stops. |

Control devices
JSHD4 - three-position device
Our ergonomical three-position/hold to run device is used as a safety device during trouble-shooting and testing. A ready signal is given in a distinct middle position. If the large "button" in the handle of the JSHD4 is pressed to the bottom or released a safe stop will be given. The two three-position buttons, JSHD2, in the handle are also used in programming units for both new and old Irb's. Safeball - one/two-hand device
Safeball, a unique worldwide control device at the highest safety level (cat. lllc as two-hand device with safety relay JSBR4 according to EN 574). The ergonomic shape fits all hands and gives many gripping possibilities. the safety being achieved with two switches in each ball, dual safety in each hand. There is also no need for a top cover. Safeball is connected to a safety relay or a safety PLC Pluto which gives a stop signal as soon as one or more switches are released. It also monitors that all buttons have been released and that they have been activated simultaneously within 0.5 seconds for a new start. Safeball can also be used as a one-hand device.
JSTD20 - two-hand device
We also have a traditional two-hand device, the JSTD20 which has a steel enclosure.
Fox - pedal
The Fox three-position foot operated device is available in both single and dual pedal versions. Fox is safe because of its unique three-position function, dual contacts and robust safety cover.

Rails/bumpers/mats
Contact rails are used to protect against injuries caused by crushing by moving machinery, automatic hatches and doors. The strips come in customised lengths and various cross sections. Bumpers are used as safety buffers to protect against remote control transport vehicles and other dangerous moving objects that require long stopping distances.
Several safety contact rails or bumpers can be connected to the same safety circuit and be dynamically monitored by the safety module Vital or safety PLC Pluto.

Safety roller door
Safety Roller Doors make it possible to have a short safety distance to the machine. The noise absorbing roller door is compact and it can therefore be placed in narrow spaces. It is easy and quick to access the machine or the service place with the Safety Roller Door.
It demands a minimum of maintenance and it is reliable in operation. To be able to start the machine/plant the door has to be completely closed. The closed position is monitored by the Eden non-contact sensor from Jokab Safety. As soon as the door begins to open Eden sends a signal to the machine/plant via the Pluto Safety PLC from Jokab Safety. The roller door fulfils safety category 4 together with Eden and Pluto.
